Study visits was a programme, part of the EU lifelong learning programme, that provided grants to education and training professionals to go to other European countries and meet other professionals for a week of intensive learning. Cedefop coordinated study visits on behalf of the European Commission in cooperation with national agencies  in the participating countries.

VTC EKPEDEFTIKI PAREMVASI participated in four educational study visits for education and vocational training, that took place in Germany and Spain with great success.

Specifically, the first entitled “Integration through qualification” took place in Bochum, Germany, from 13/09/2010 to 17/09/2010. The main agenda of discussion was to allow greater opportunities for students to access higher level skills training and tertiary education.

The second entitled “Older workers in companies and on the labour market” realized 14/03/2011 to 18/03/2011, in Düsseldorf, Germany (host institution was the training organization Arbeit und Leben DGB / VHS NW, with the participation of representatives from 7 Member States (UK, France, Italy, Netherlands, Lithuania, Greece and Slovenia) and involved the difficulties and ways of dealing with labor issues facing businesses and employees because of constantly aging workforce.

The third entitled “An innovative approach to education for sector professions in crisis” was implemented from 21/03/2011 to 24/03/2011, in Madrid, Spain (host institution was the Public Employment Service Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal -SPEE, with the participation of representatives of nine States (Germany, Denmark, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, England, Italy, Greece and Turkey) and related problems facing the construction sector and the tourism industry during the recession.

The fourth entitled “Cross-border mobility in education and vocational training” was implemented from 05/06/2011 to 10/06/2011, in Bonn, Germany (host institution was the national education service in Europe Nationale Agentur Bildung für Europa beim Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung, with the participation of representatives from 12 States (Turkey, England, France, Italy, Denmark, Lithuania, Greece, Slovenia, Poland, Belgium, Hungary, Spain) and involved in the training and learning opportunities in Europe offered through European mobility programs.

The participation of representatives of our company was funded 100% under the European Lifelong Learning (Lifelong Learning Programme).
